Giroud has produced a long series of elasticity solutions for settlement calculations and plasticity solutions for bearing capacity problems. All the solutions were compiled in three volumes of the “Tables pour le calcul des fondations”, Volume 1 (Giroud 1972) and Volume 2 (Giroud 1973) on stresses and displacements, and Volume 3 (Giroud et al. 1973) on bearing capacity (see also the “Researcher” Section).
